Grammarly Undo Button

Usually, computer keyboard shortcuts can help you to undo deleted text in a document. Use Ctrl + Z on Windows and Cmd + Z on Mac. Alternatively, you can file a request by clicking Submit a Request button. Fill the required details such as document ID and description. Grammarly is an absolute game-changer for me, my education wasn't exactly exemplary and my memory is getting worse over time, so I love it. It seems just from what you've mentioned here that. Use the Account page to edit your Grammarly account settings, customize the product for your usage, manage billing and subscription information, and edit security preferences.

How to get access to the software:

This software is available for students registered with the Disability Service. If you are registering with a SPLD upon registration you will receive a e-mail from notification allowing the student access to the TCD Grammarly license.

How do I add Grammarly for Microsoft Office to Word and Outlook?

The Grammarly add-in for Microsoft Office allows you to use Grammarly while you're writing Word documents or Outlook emails

You can download the latest version of Grammarly for Microsoft Office at http://www.grammarly.com/office-addin and follow the instructions on that page to install it.

How does Grammarly for MS Office work?

Opening Grammarly

Just click the Open Grammarly button in the Home tab or use the button in your new Grammarly tab, and the Grammarly sidebar will appear.

Specifying check types

Once you open Grammarly, you'll be brought to the Grammarly tab to specify which of our four categories of suggestions you want to run on your document.

To make sure Grammarly checks your document for correctness, clarity, delivery, and engagement, please click All Issues. To enable only one category, just click on it. Grammarly suggestions will be shown directly in the sidebar.

Note: You can also take advantage of style guide suggestions in Microsoft Word .

Making corrections

Accept text suggestions with one click on the suggestion card.

  1. Accept suggestion: Click on a suggestion to apply the change in the text. To revert a recently applied suggestion, click Undo.
  2. Ignore suggestion: Dismiss the suggestion and remove it from the list of suggestion cards.
  3. Add to dictionary: Add a word to your personal dictionary to keep Grammarly from flagging it again in the future. This option is available only on some suggestion types.
  4. Learn more: Get a detailed explanation of the highlighted writing issue, and learn how you can improve your future writing.

Deactivating certain check types

Certain types of suggestions, such as Oxford comma and passive voice suggestions, can be turned off.

If you see a suggestion that is not helpful, click the trash bin icon in the upper right corner of the suggestion card. If it's a suggestion that can be deactivated, you'll see an option that says Turn off suggestions like this:

After you deactivate a suggestion, you can turn it back on by clicking Deactivated Suggestions in the Grammarly tab:

Note: This feature is available only to Grammarly Premium users. If the Deactivated suggestions button is grayed out, you haven't deactivated anything yet. If you'd like to learn more about this feature, check this article.

Adjusting goals

You can adjust your goal settings to receive more tailored writing feedback from Grammarly. To adjust your settings, click the Adjust Goals button:

In the pop-up windows, select your desired audience, formality level, and domain (type) for your text.

Note: The Domain setting is not available in Grammarly for Microsoft Office in Outlook.

Changing default settings

Click Settings to access your Grammarly settings within Word or Outlook. You can:

  • View your account information
  • Change your dictionary and profile settings
  • Automatically enable Grammarly for every new document you create
  • Check for updates to the Grammarly Add-in
  • Configure proxy settings (useful for computers behind a firewall)

No matter where you're writing your content, you can have Grammarly to help you detect and correct your writing flaws.

Yes, if you're on your favorite Chrome browser, you can still use Grammarly just by using its Chrome extension.

Now, let's check how to use it on your browser.


How to Use the Extension?

You can install the extension in your browser in two different ways and I'll show you both of them.

The ways are as follows:

  1. Directly from Grammarly
  2. Directly from Chrome Web Store

#1. Directly from Grammarly

Here are the steps to having the extension for your Chrome browser –

Step 1. Have a Grammarly Account

First of all, visit Grammarly and sign up for an account if you don't have one yet. If you have an account of Grammarly, then you'll just need to log into your Grammarly account using your username and password.

So, Visit Grammarly Now by hitting the above link.

Step 2. Find the Grammarly Chrome Extension

By landing your My Grammarly account, you could see the following option –

Now, you'll have to hit Apps which will open four different options of Grammarly. The first option is this –

You can see that there's Active on the right side of Grammarly for Chrome. This is because I have already installed and activated the Grammarly extension on my Chrome browser.

If it hadn't been installed yet, then you would have seen an Install button instead of the Active button.

Step 3. Install Grammarly Chrome

Now, click on the Install button and it'll be installed on your Chrome browser. This is not all, you'll have to activate it which will be shown in the further steps.

Click on the icon and it'll open the drop-down options like this:

Step 5. Activate the Grammarly Extension for Chrome on your browser

This is the final stage of activating the extension on your browser.

To do so, swap the Check for Grammar and Spelling on newtab button right and Grammarly will be activated on your browser.

You can also swap the next button to activate that option too.

Also, you have the full control of choosing American or British English as your writing language.

Select the version of the English language as per your choice.

After setting up all the things, you'll start seeing that all of your online writing is being checked in real time for finding flaws.

#2. Directly from Chrome Web Store

Now check the other way of installing the extension in your browser.

Follow the steps in order to do so:

Step 1. Launch Your Chrome browser and Go to the control button

First of all, open your Chrome browser on your computer. Once the browser is fully loaded, go to the control button situated on the top right corner.

Here's the control button of your Chrome browser if you don't recognize it:

Step 2. Go to the More tools and then the Extensions button

From the drop-down menu, reach out to the Extensions button through the More tools button. This will show all of your active extensions.

Step 3. Go to the Open Chrome Web Store Button from the Main Menu

Go to the main menu situated on the top left corner of the browser.

Here's the main menu button:

After going t the main menu, you'll find the Open Chrome Web Store button at the bottom. Click on the button and you'll land the world of Chrome extensions.

Step 4. Type Grammarly for Chrome in the search the store box

On the left side, you'll find the search the store box.

Go there and type Grammarly for Chrome.

Step 5. Find the extension and hit the Add to Chrome button

You'll see some (currently three extensions are found if you search with this term) extensions in the search extension result page.

From the list, the top one is your desired extension.

Here's the extension:

You see that there's a green ADDED tag seen on the left of the extension. This is because I've already added it to my browser.

However, on the right side of the extension, you'll see the ADD TO CHROME button. Hit the button and the extension will be added to your browser.

Step 6. Follow the step 4 and the 5 from the previous method

So your extension is now installed in your browser. Now the only things that you'll need to do are follow the step 4 and the step 5 shown in the previous method.

Go to the Grammarly icon and follow the two steps.

Note that the extension activation using this method will work well even without signing up for a Grammarly account, but to get a better experience, you must create an account. You can use the extension to create your Grammarly account if you don't have one.

Also, if you have an account, don't forget to log in through the extension.

Why Use the Grammarly Extension?

Grammarly can detect flaws in your writing, but to do this on its native platform, you need to copy your content and then paste that in the checking box of Grammarly. This is really a hectic job in most cases.

You can also upload your file to the Grammarly's native platform, but still, you need to have a downloadable format of your content.

If you want to have this awesome feature, then you need to use Grammarly's extension.

You just need to activate the extension on your browser.

You'll find the extension handy when you're writing emails, crafting blog posts on your WordPress dashboard, leaving comments on other blogs.

Note that there are some sites which don't allow Grammarly, so in those sites, you couldn't be able to use the extension.

Quora is one of the sites where Grammarly doesn't work. If you visit the site, you'll see a message like this:

However, since the extension works on most online platforms, you can't live without it for a moment when writing online.
